Success Stories for Special Needs Families working with Amy Kagedan

Success Story: From Struggling in Nursery to Thriving in Kindergarten

We recently worked with a three-year-old boy who was struggling to receive the appropriate attention and support in his nursery program. His parents reached out to us for help when they noticed that he was falling behind in his development and not receiving the therapies he needed.

After sitting down with the boy’s parents and the child, we were able to pinpoint the problem and suggested the type of evaluation needed. Advocating for an evaluation provided us and the parents with the results needed to secure a placement for him in a full-day specialized program that provided the tailored therapies and support he required. In this new environment, he flourished and began to make significant progress.

Fast forward two years, and we are thrilled to report that this young boy has made remarkable strides. He is now talking, socializing, and thriving in his current Kindergarten placement. The specialized program equipped him with the tools and resources necessary to reach his full potential.

We are incredibly proud to have played a part in this success story and are delighted to see this young boy thriving in his educational journey. We look forward to continuing to support and advocate for children and families in similar situations, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

After meeting with the parents and observing and interacting with the child we were able to identify the boy's needs, we then suggested transitioning him to a special needs program at a different Jewish school.
